SeaLena, Otherwords u like handmade presents)) When u r kniting a scarf there's no need to think about something, all the same movies every row and nothing changes, so u could watch tv or speak or listen to smting it wouldn't disturb u)) But to be honest it's just a good way to kill the time

When I cross-stich I usually listen to some English texts. It really helps me))

SeaLena, I have rather handless friends... Cause I don't remember any handmade present in my entire life! Few years ago I was thinking that cross-stiching isn't really a kind of art... it's more like a kind ot math... u know, cause u just need to count stiches and thats all... I guess that's one of the reasons why i finish with it.

Oh, it's so interesting legend. I've never heard about it. When I was a child, I have a book about origami amd managed to make everything from it. Cranes were there too)) My next hobby is puzzling. I like build up pictures from many little fragments.))
